Virtual Career Fair Includes DeKalb Local Library System For Wifi Support For Those Without Access

(DEKALB COUNTY, GEORGIA January 2021) Decide DeKalb Development Authority, in partnership with Metro Atlanta Industry Partnerships and workforce stakeholders around the Metro Atlanta area, will be hosting a Northeast Metro Atlanta career fair online Thursday, January 28 from 10 AM to 1 PM.

Job seekers will have the opportunity to speak directly to employers, complete video interviews, and accept job offers on-the-spot in the online platform. Healthcare, IT, public safety, and education are just a few industries participating in the fair. Additionally, for those people with limited Wi-Fi access, DeKalb County Public Library System is extending connectivity to the parking lot to allow applicants to enter the virtual job fair from their car.

Dorian DeBarr Interim President of Decide Dekalb stated, “Workforce development and support will continue to be a top priority for us. We want to get DeKalb residents trained and working in good paying jobs and that is what the job fair hopes to accomplish. Our partners at MAIP and DeKalb WorkSource left no detail out while planning this event and I am confident it will be a huge success.”
