Turkish Engineering Company, EAE Elektrik, Makes DeKalb County US Headquarters

EAE Electric Inc., a global leader in electrical busway systems, cable trays, and fit-out solutions, is launching its United States subsidiary EAE USA Inc. in Dunwoody. The office, located at 56 Perimeter Center East, in DeKalb County, will create a significant number of engineering jobs in the Atlanta metro area, with substantial growth expected over the next decade.

“Opening our US subsidiary in metro Atlanta was critical in enabling us to grow in the US market” EAE USA’s General Manager, Oya Buyan said. “We are launching our office with a strong local team of subject matter experts in metro Atlanta and are excited to provide top quality electrical busway and cable tray systems to a wide range of customers, ranging from data centers to manufacturing facilities, to high rises, throughout the United States. The next step in our 3-5-year business plan is to establish manufacturing and warehousing facilities, and hire more employees, especially with electrical and mechanical engineering backgrounds. We expect to leverage the competitive advantage of DeKalb’s strategic location considering Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and the Port of Savannah to run an affordable operation compared to other major cities.”

Founded in Istanbul, Turkey in 1973, EAE Electric is a market leader in electrical distribution systems and production globally, who has subsidiaries and offices throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and the Middle East. EAE Electric is the parent company of the EAE Group and designs and builds electrical busway systems, cable trays, and fit-out solutions. EAE Electric is pleased to add the United States to the list of over 100 countries with whom they do business.

“It’s a pleasure to welcome EAE Electric Inc.’s U.S. subsidiary to the state’s diverse family of internationally owned companies,” said Georgia Department of Economic Development Commissioner Pat Wilson. “I’d like to thank our economic development partners in Atlanta and DeKalb County and the University System of Georgia for their work in developing the robust talent pool of engineers we have today, which undoubtedly played a role in the company’s decision to plant roots in Georgia.”

Decide DeKalb Development Authority, the economic development arm for the county, understands the significance of having an international company settle in the area. “EAE
Electric’s decision to make DeKalb County its new US subsidiary is tremendous,” said Dorian DeBarr, Interim President of Decide DeKalb. “The result of having an engineering manufacturer based in Dunwoody solidifies even further why DeKalb County is appealing to businesses. We welcome EAE USA and we look forward to the positive impact they will have on the community.”

“Dunwoody’s skilled workforce and our central location in metro Atlanta makes us an ideal home for an expanding international company.  We are so pleased to welcome EAE Electric Inc’s US subsidiary, EAE USA Inc.,” said Dunwoody Mayor Lynn Deutsch.  “We appreciate our partnership with the metro Atlanta Chamber and DeKalb County as we continue to grow the Perimeter Dunwoody Market.”

“We are pleased that EAE Electric selected metro Atlanta to establish its U.S. subsidiary,” said Katie Kirkpatrick, president, and CEO of the Metro Atlanta Chamber. “The company will be able to take advantage of Atlanta’s skilled engineering workforce, strategic location, corporate connectivity, and low cost of business to grow throughout the U.S. market.”
