
Decide DeKalb Economic Development Week featuring “Make You Love Monday,” Women-Owned Business Guide Launch, Lulah Hills Fireside Chat
From May 4-8, 2026, economic development authority offering free coffee to highlight local businesses; showcasing new women-owned business resource; and talking to Lulah Hills’ developer
DECATUR, GA (April 29, 2026) — Decide DeKalb wants to “Make You Love Monday” by giving away free coffee and breakfast biscuits on Monday, May 4, 2026, at three DeKalb County small businesses.
The giveaways have been designed by Decide DeKalb to spotlight local coffee shops and a breakfast bar to kick off DeKalb Economic Development Week 2026 from May 4-8. Other events are the launch of the women-owned business guide and a fireside chat with the developer of Lulah Hills.
Each program during the week showcases something unique to DeKalb’s economic landscape.
“Economic Development Week is a reminder that thriving communities begin with thriving small businesses,” said Randi Mason, Executive Vice President of Economic Development and COO of Decide DeKalb. “Our mission is to build equity, opportunity and prosperity through strategic partnerships. And why not help people love Monday while we’re at it?”

DeKalb Economic Development Week is part of a national initiative created by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) to celebrate the contributions of economic development agencies to create stronger, more resilient communities. DeKalb’s Economic Development Week is from May 4-8, 2026.

WHAT: The “Make You Love Monday” coffee and breakfast promotion will feature three DeKalb County coffee and breakfast shops that will give 100 people a complimentary item. From locally roasted coffee to delicious Southern biscuit, the treat is on Decide DeKalb.
