Stephen Smith serves as Of Counsel at Beveridge & Diamond, bringing more than 12 years of experience with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). As former Associate Regional Counsel for EPA Region 4, he led complex environmental cleanup, enforcement, and compliance efforts across the Southeast, working on Superfund, Clean Water Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, and other major environmental statutes.
He is a graduate of Leadership Atlanta, Leadership DeKalb, LEAD Atlanta, and the Atlanta Federal Executive Board’s Leadership Government. Stephen serves on the Board of Trustees for Morris Brown College and has previously chaired Trinity Community Ministries and the Avondale Elementary School Education Foundation. His leadership has been recognized through multiple “40 Under 40” honors from the Atlanta Business Chronicle, Georgia Trend, and Auburn University.
