Dr. Triscilla Weaver serves as Chief of Access and Opportunity for the DeKalb County School District, where she leads the Division of Access and Opportunity. With more than 35 years of experience in education, ncluding over two decades in leadership, she brings a comprehensive and deeply informed perspective to her work. Her career within the district spans roles as a middle school mathematics teacher, assistant principal, principal, and regional/area superintendent. A resident of DeKalb County for more than 50 years, she brings a deep, personal commitment to the community she serves.
A summa cum laude graduate of Georgia State University, Dr. Weaver holds a Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Specialist degree in Middle Childhood Education, as well as a Ph.D. in Teaching and Learning with a concentration in mathematics. She is certified in Educational Leadership by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission and has further strengthened her executive expertise through the Urban Superintendent’s Academy at Howard University and the Women in Leadership Program at Harvard University. Most recently, she earned certification as an Executive Leadership Coach from the Academy of Creative Coaching.
Dr. Weaver is committed to creating equitable conditions that enable all students, particularly those from marginalized communities, to thrive. She champions the belief that equity, excellence, and empowerment are fundamental to academic success. Her leadership and advocacy have been recognized through multiple honors, including the Reinvigorate Award.
