Whether a shopper is looking for funky, unique home
items or the latest trendy clothes, the many and varied
retail areas in DeKalb offer something for everybody.
From eclectic shops and restaurants along McClendon
Road to the wealth of international offerings along
Buford Highway, shopping choices abound. Along the International
Corridor shoppers can choose restaurants, groceries,
retail shops and professional services from providers
of a dozen nationalities, including Chinese, Japanese,
Indian, Latin American, Caribbean, African, Korean and
European.
DeKalb's newest retail attraction is The Mall at Stonecrest.
To paraphrase its website, Stonecrest is positioned
to be "the complete shopping and entertainment
destination for the eastern region of metro Atlanta."
Building out at a million square feet of retailers,
restaurants and office space and will be the first venue
of its kind opening with five anchor stores - Dillard's,
JCPenney, Parisian, Rich's and Sears. The Mall at Stonecrest
will showcase a multiscreen, stadium-stadium theatre
complex and two levels of shopping featuring more than
120 specialty retail shops."
Even the county's more established malls frequently
offer new and renovated shops. Perimeter Mall was the
state's first address for Nordstrom, and Parisian's
opened at Northlake Mall. Take a look at the following
malls and specialty districts, either online or in person.
Even the window-shopping offers a pleasant view.
